I first met the Wright brothers 20 years ago through a referral and I’ve been working with them ever since. They told me back then that they’d be my builders for life, and although many people can say that, they actually lived up to it. Through the ensuing 20 years, I have renovated my kitchen and have done some original work because of the relationship that I have with Kelly and Chris. I also built a spec home with them two years ago.

The Wright Brothers are extraordinarily reliable, they do what they say they’re going to do and they never accept substandard work. To me, those are the most critical components to dealing with a contractor. Through the years I have had a great relationship with both Kelly and Chris Wright. I have their cell phones, everybody’s home phone numbers, and I get answered whenever I have a question. We just remodeled an entire kitchen with Kelly and Chris – installed all new appliances, sanded all the floors and did them in a much darker color. From top to bottom, they selected the cabinet company, gave me referrals on the electricians and found heating people who could reroute heat and plumbers to redirect the water. They were totally involved in every aspect, used really top-notch contractors and worked hard at bringing in the price.

Our new home is fantastic! We have had many people over since moving into our new home this past September 2009, and all of them have commented on how special it is. The Wright brothers have been working with JBMP Architects for over 15 years on renovations and custom homes in Greenwich and Westchester County. My last project with Kelly was a custom house on the water in Riverside. Kelly had built another home for this client 10 years before and the project had gone so well that when they moved back to Greenwich, they decided to use the same architect and builder again.

The Wright brothers have built enough homes that they fully understand both the process and the client type we’re working with. And they manage the project from very early budgeting all the way through to project completion. They have an ability to accurately estimate a project at the outset, and then hold to that budget all the way through.

As the architect, we’re typically hired to oversee the construction and ensure that it gets built in accordance with codes and the drawings. They know the ins and outs of the business better than anybody. At any point in the project, they know what’s going on with the framer, or the concrete guy, or the tile guy, or whoever needs to be on the job. They also employ a site supervisor who is in charge of the day-to-day running of the project.

The importance of picking a builder of Wright brothers quality is that your home will get built as you’ve dreamed it, in accordance with the drawings your architect has given you. And it will be built in a timely manner and meet all of your expectations for aesthetics and value.
