BUILDING PRODUCTIVELY AFTER A BRUTAL FAIRFIELD COUNTY WINTER

The bitter cold of this past winter had us, and most other home builders, shut down for several weeks for outdoor work. Although we were able to continue construction on some interior renovations, we had to put a custom home project on hold in Wilton, and we halted some other outdoor work as well.

We’re breathing a sigh of relief now as the weather has warmed up and we’re back at it with some exciting renovation and custom home projects. In addition to the below highlighted custom jobs we are also hard at work building two of our single family homes in the Reserve at Poplar Plains subdivisions in Westport. One of these is due for completion in September and the other is due to be completed in the fall. Following are some details on a few of our larger projects.

Modern Rendering

WILTON, CT MODERN CUSTOM
The above rendering is a custom modern home that we are currently building in Wilton. This job is in the framing stage and will be 5,500 SF when complete. The home will have 30 foot ceilings and include several interesting custom features including glass railings and waterfall countertops. The project is scheduled to be completed in late winter 2016.

WESTPORT, CT RIVERFRONT RENOVATION
We are currently two months into a significant renovation on a riverfront property in Westport. When complete, the entire first floor will be new. We are close to wrapping up framing and the installation of new mechanicals. The space will be built with a beautiful combination of modern and classic elements including giant custom windows, new gourmet kitchen, two bathrooms, and a fireplace that will make a statement. Completion is scheduled for mid August.

GREENWICH, CT SWEEPING RENOVATION
This project is currently in the finishing stages and will be a wonderful addition to our portfolio. The original structure was an early 1900’s barn. The job required a great deal of work to bring it up to today’s standards including significant structural work, new plumbing and electrical, and spray foam insulation. Cosmetic and functional features include a new kitchen, fireplace, and a master suite with bathroom and walk-in closet.
